Soda Bottle Mosquito Trap

Mar 1, 2013 by

1. Cut the top off a soda bottle. Invert the cone and place it inside the bottom half of the bottle.
2. Secure the two pieces together, using a glue or tape.
3. Add 1 tsp yeast and ½ cup sugar to some lukewarm water, and pour the mixture into the bottle.

The yeast and sugar mixture releases carbon dioxide that mosquitoes are attracted to, so the mosquito enters the bottle. Once inside the bottle, the mosquito is trapped.
